It's been dropping the 2.4GHz network more and more frequently. Sometimes it doesn't bother bringing the 2.4GHz network back up (eg 1 hour yesterday) and I have to reset the modem. The modem reset is another problem, that you have to push a pin in a small hole on the back for around 10 seconds; then it takes several minutes to cycle through the restart. This is a disappointment after having used Bigpond and Optus cable modems. (I am now using cable/HFC NBN)Not recommended. Came free when we signed up a new package, the speeds are good but the connection stability & range isn't as good as our last hub (also free from the previous internet provider - Fritzbox 7490)Used in on the ground floor of our house with a concrete floor on the upper level.
The old Fritzbox had a slightly stronger signal upstairs than this one, the Technicolor signal isn't terrible but can get a little weak. Also dropped Chromecast connection (in the same room) which the previous hub has never done and other devices have occasionally had trouble maintaining a connection with it.On the plus side it does send out OK speeds over wifi, get around 300-400 up & down over wifi if within 5m of the hub (vs 700-800 over ethernet cable).Considering plugging back in the old free Fritzbox that we got a couple of years ago though.
